Lake Tarpon Bait & Tackle 2014 Bass Challenge Fishing Trail
Tournament trail takes place the 2ND Saturday of every month starting on January 2015 and ending the 2ND Saturday of September 2015. This will be a points tournament trail. The team that has the most points at the end of the last regular season trail tournament will earn a free entry into the classic. There will be 9 tournaments the boater listed must compete in 7 of the 9 tournaments to be eligible to fish the classic. The boater can use either the non boater or the alternate listed to fish the classic.
The classic will be held the 2ND weekend of October 2015. The 2 day classic will be held at a MYSTERY LAKE which will be announced the last week of September 2015. The tournament trail will be held on Lake Tarpon and BROOKER CREEK IS OFF LIMITS. This means you can throw in the mouth of the creek as long as your boat is still in the lake.
There is an $80 entry fee (per tournament) and $80 for the two day classic. $5 of every entry will go toward the Big Bass prize for that months tournament and $10 of every entry goes toward the Classic Pot. This trail will be 100% payback to the anglers. (Tournament director does not profit from running tournament trail).
The starting order will be determined by the order in which teams pay. Teams must pay at Lake Tarpon Bait and Tackle any time during the week with sign-up ending at 5pm the Friday before the tournament. No paying at the ramp.
Launch will be at safe light with a weigh in at 3pm in Anderson park. Life jackets optional, BOAT AT YOUR OWN RISK, Only artificial luers can be used. One rod per team member at a time and NO trolling. No culling at ramp. There will be a half pound penalty for dead fish. Five fish limit. Minimum length is 14 inches with one fish per team member over 22 inches allowed. All state and local laws must be followed including no wake zones.
Teams are expected to display the highest standards of sportsmanship. No fishing within 50 yards of an anchored boat. All protests will be handled by the tournament director. Any questions please contact:
